Sea Monster

The past few months have been pretty quiet. Not a lot has changed with the pregnancy, except that Claire's been getting steadily bigger and bigger :) Now we're 3 weeks away from the due date, and there are regular sightings of a sea monster inside Claire's tummy. It's amazing :D

We had the third scan a few weeks ago, to check if the placenta is in the right place, and it is - everything is perfect! Unfortunately we didn't get a scan picture this time, which was a little disappointing, but I guess we're only a few weeks away from meeting the little one now anyway.

So we're pretty much finished with the preparations. We just need to get some new curtains in the nursery, and pick up the travel system from The Baby Store (Our friends Karl and Laurie have kindly offered to keep hold of it for us until the baby arrives, as superstition insists), but I'll get the child seat installed in my car asap. Really don't want to have to figure out how to do that on the day!

We're reading books fairly regularly, learning about crying and feeding and bathing, etc. All the things we have no idea about! We're also finally narrowing down the list of names into two very short lists. No hints though!

We also just found out that my brother and his wife are expecting a little boy in July, so congratulations to them! :D

I reckon I'll get in one more blog post before the baby arrives, and after that this blog will transform into a record of probably-not-so-interesting things the baby gets up to over the course of its early years.

Ta ta for now!
